Distinguished Desires

 “Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh And intermeddleth with all wisdom. A fool hath no delight in understanding, But that his heart may discover itself.” Proverbs 18:1-2 KJV

If the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and the right application of wisdom is understanding, it is not surprising why the absence of the fear of God or His existence is summarized as foolishness. Unfortunately, fools often masquerade as the intelligent application of human wisdom and the forceful expression of interests in politics, public services, project management and social contracts at homes and workplaces. While the adoption of these decorated desires is readily applauded as the mark of excellence in today’s world, the scriptures speak of a distinguished desire for excellence through a determination to remain undefiled. For example, Joseph separated himself from Potiphar’s wife and suffered temporarily in prison to get the divine promotion to the position of a Prime Minister in Egypt. Also, Daniel and his colleagues separated themselves from the idolatrous entertainment temporarily to receive divine accomplishments in Babylon. Obviously, the beginning of wisdom for those who truly fear and trust in God is the pursuit of grace to see wisdom in their waiting rooms; it is the ancient landmark that separates the godly from a fool.

Omni- Obedience

  “ For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled .” II Corinthians 10 : 4 - 6 NKJV There is no better reference to the scriptural punishment of all disobedience when our obedience is fulfilled than omni- obedience. Best Bride

He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son .” Revelation 21 : 6 - 7 NKJV By reflecting on the best activities in the passing year 2025 and its lost privileges and opportunities, the most sincere response in the assessment of human efforts is likely to be baggage.
