Generational Guide

Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; That ye may tell it to the generation following. For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.” Psalm 48:13-14 KJV

One of the menaces of the Gen-Z generation is the replacement of the ‘divine natives’ with the ‘digital natives’. Parents have a lot of digital upgrades to communicate the characteristics of faith and godliness before this generation can see God through their social media. Notwithstanding, the psalmist has captured the inspirational guideline. For the almighty God to be our generational Guide, children must clearly see God transparently through their parents, as in “Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; That ye may tell it to the generation following“. Whether in the Stone Age to ‘digital age’, God still guides the meek hearts through prayer, pondering, and preaching. When we pray to God and not to the principalities and powers in times of our challenges, children see and take note. When we ponder on God’s words morning and evening for inspiration, rather than depending solely on our intelligence, experiences, and human psychology, children see and take note (even when they pretend to get locked up in their digital world). And when we live daily to preach the love of God through an uncompromising lifestyle of holiness and righteousness, children will not mistake the living God for gold and silver. Therefore, God is the generational Guide of the righteous; and He hovers through the veil of traditions, technologies, and testimonies to ensure His transformational power is revealed across their generations.
