Healthy Heart

And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.Mark 12:32-33 KJV

The truth as regards the keeping of a physically healthy heart is always about living well and dieting well, but it requires discipline, determination and discreetness for anyone to keep a balanced sheet. And just as distraction from this truth is sincerely enormous, distraction from the truth that makes the heart of man free from the corruption of sin, self, and Satan cannot be overpowered by the arms of flesh. Little wonder when the scribe that confronted Jesus with questions declared the root of the truth, Jesus still responded “Thou art not far from the kingdom of God!”. Therefore, the keeping of a spiritually healthy heart is more than knowing and declaring that there is one God. A healthy heart must have the courage to keep the commandment of the same God without the entertainment of competition. Truth according to the significant others in every believer’s life will always compete with the absolute truth. God has no need of some or much of our hearts. And to love him with all the heart, there cannot be a slightest trace of loving any competition in the heart. It implies that the best offering and sacrifice always come from a healthy heart, who gladly damn the consequences of keeping the commandments of his loving God at the expense of all competitions.
