Soul’s Sanctuary

O God, thou art My God; early will I seek thee: My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee In a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; To see thy power and thy glory, So as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.” Psalm 63:1-2 KJV

Without grace and glory is disgrace and emptiness. This is always the soul’s story until God is found. Unfortunately, the search for satisfaction in life has always proffered material wealth, multiplicity of women, and manifestation of wisdom; but the end story has been nothing different from dryness and thirst. The reality on ground is that the provision of material things and the basic things of life can be the desirable sanctuary for the body, they cannot replace the innate portion for God in the soul of man.  God is the soul’s sanctuary and the only place for rest and satisfaction from dryness and thirst. By realizing God as the soul’s sanctuary, it is easier for anyone to understand why the decoration of the body’s sanctuary is readily sorted; but no one can find the needed grace and glory for the soul’s sanctuary through the placing of demands on the body’s sanctuary.
