Hidden Honey

“My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; And the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: When thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, And thy expectation shall not be cut off.” Proverbs 24:13-14 KJV

Those who settle for city-produced honey do sometimes expressed concerns over the risk of adulteration; but the fear of the sting of bees during honeycombing is mostly overbearing. “My son, eat thou honey, because it is good” is a fatherly call to commitment and consecration for a good and rewardable course in life. Unfortunately, it takes courage and strength for anyone in our fast-paced world to embrace the call for disciple, commitment and consecration in a world with shortcuts, corruption and indiscipline. Notwithstanding, it is evident that there is hidden honey in everyone created by God. We just need to exercise patience with courage and commitment to draw out the sweet honey from the well of wisdom and virtue within. When God looked at the man created by Him and declared he was very good, He meant exactly the wholesomeness of the hidden honey in man. And despite several shortcomings of man against the divine purpose for man’s creation, the thought of God for everyone of His creatures remains good with glorious expectations. Therefore, anyone who trust and wait on the Lord will definitely uncover the honey out of his devotion to God’s assignments in life, carrier, family and ministerial opportunities.
