Triumphant Trust

 “O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: He is their help and their shield. O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: He is their help and their shield. Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: He is their help and their shield.” Psalm 115:9-11 KJV

Those whose motivations in decision making are wired by facts and figures spend so much resources in intelligent gatherings. Career, business empires, corporate vision and national development for success and breakthrough in life have been built on the basis of facts and figures, especially when these dreams are not negatively confronted by opposing forces. Unfortunately, every successful accomplishment in life erects an imaginary god that demands worship, allegiance, and dedication; and thereby creating uninvited rivalry between different gods with diverse interests. But there is a God in Heaven, who knows the end of everyone He has created from his beginning. Anyone who trusts absolutely in God has nothing to fear; “He is their help and their shield” from the opposing forces. Therefore, faith in the Lord and the revelation of His promises or vision is far more reliable than facts and figures or intelligent gatherings. Little wonder when He assisted Jeremiah with His inspirational gathering, Jeremiah was able to see well: “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12)”. Whenever any believer in God is able to see, receive and trust only the promises of God for his life’s projects and ambitions, triumphant accomplishments of those projects and ambitions have become God’s prerogatives.

Righteous Resolution

  “ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Psalm 1 : 1 - 2 , 6 KJV The problem with the concept of New Year resolutions is that the resolutions are results focussed, including new walkout goals, new diet habits, new relationship models for family, social, and workplace partners, etc. We know that these results resolutions are hard to keep and maintain with the best of human strategies.
