Nothing Name
“And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20 KJV
Jesus and Satan are two opposing names that command the attention of different sets of people on earth. While believers in Jesus by principle know and declare the authority in the name of Jesus, many of these people in practice cannot relate to the nothingness in Satan and all his agents. And if Jesus can rejoice in the spirit at the revelation of the nothing name to disciples, after their field experience “saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name”, it implies that heaven is always concerned about believers’ ignorance of the nothing name. This ignorance promotes the testimonies of deceitful workers, the threats of conspirators, and the twisting of betrayers, saying the words of Satan are something and his ways are substantial. Whereas, it is unbelief in the promises of the LORD that makes the people of God to trade the currency of an open cheque “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” for the conspiracies of the nothing name in Satan. Even the names of the most supposedly little among the redeemed children of God are greater and higher than the nothing name in Satan and all his agents, needless to mention Jesus - the name above all names.
