Wise Wing

Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked. And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.” Exodus 23:7-8 KJV

The reality of life is simply the fact that wisdom appears to have both the true and false sides, and often inseparable on the field of play (i.e., on family, business, social, and ministry matters). Notwithstanding, the scriptural admonition remains sacrosanct “Keep thee far from a false matter“. Most times, the operations with false matters are loudly celebrated to the extent that the righteous begins to doubt the faithfulness of God with His promises. For example, when the righteous begins to shift grounds to give false witnesses, support the wicked activities of people in the position of power, and outrightly oppress the righteous in order to satisfy the wicked, they are simply or invariably saying “God, sometimes, has a sense of justifying the wicked”. But no, the Almighty God is here establishing the forthrightness of His justice system before Moses “Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked”. The tenacity of believers on the right and wise wing is the only way of living to shine the gospel light towards repentance of those on the wicked wing. We are ultimately called to always keep to the wise wing on the field of play, irrespective of the apparent justification by others to switch to the wicked wing; God has never and will not ever justify the wicked.
