Steadfast Sowers

The wicked worketh a deceitful work: But to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward.” Proverbs 11:18 KJV

The myth against transformation by righteousness in any system is not the potency of the truth or the seed of righteousness, it is usually the people undermining the wickedness of deceit through sluggishness. “The wicked worketh a deceitful work” is not just a divine revelation of the havoc in wickedness, it is a strict warning for the preservation of the seed of righteousness through steadfastness. For example, when the elders of the Israelites that  took over the mantle from Joshua failed to drive out the Canaanites, the Lord repeated the same warning, like “Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you (Judges 2:3)”. Likewise today, our home, city, society and institutional system needs steadfast sowers against the infiltration of wickedness and all forms of unrighteousness. Unfortunately, the deceitful work of wickedness starts with discouragement in the hearts of sowers, and their concerns about the reward of righteousness. Whereas, the same Spirit that gave the warning “The wicked worketh a deceitful work“ provides the winning “forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord” to steadfast sowers who always abound in the work of the Lord by His grace.
