Steadfast Salvation

 “But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:24-25 NKJV

Steadfastness or sustainability has become a significant metric of any successfully delivered project because of the reality of limited resources. Nothing lasts forever. Even in relationships with God and concerning matters relating to His promises, people are readily bothered about the sustainability of salvation, provision, protection, and preservation, even after an evident taste of the power of God. Whereas, the believer’s faith is expected to be in the unchangeable priesthood of Jesus Christ; and never in the sustainability of salvation, provision, protection, and preservation. Faith in the latter can falter, when challenged by the reality of adversity, calamity and the challenges of life. But when a believer’s faith is fixed on the unchangeable priesthood of Jesus Christ, it becomes the words of the King of kings against the tides. And since Jesus ever lives to make intercession for those whose faith is fixed on Him, the salvation of these believers from any adversity, calamity and the challenges of life is steadfast and sure.

Honourable Honesty

  “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! ” Psalms 149 : 5 - 9 NKJV In seasons of afflictions and persecution from a culture of dishonesty, “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds ” appears distasteful.
