Full Fellowship

that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.” I John 1:3-4 NKJV

When king Darius of Medes says to Daniel “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you”, little did he know the power backing his prophetic pronouncement. The experience of Daniel had shown how fellowship with the greatest can be fouled by earthly conspiracies. Fortunately, Daniel had a full fellowship with the King of kings and the Lord of lords; and Darius later attested to the fact: “I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men must tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For He is the living God, And steadfast forever; His kingdom is the one which shall not be destroyed, And His dominion shall endure to the end (Daniel 6:26)”. And having seen, tasted and touched the genuineness of full fellowship, Apostle John couldn’t shy away from its extension to other believers, who are readily distracted by foulable fellowship. Fellowship with kinsmen, race, family members, political party members, religious, and social fraternities have its bonuses and bounties; but an intimate relationship with the God of Heaven is always the best. Whenever the fellowship with the God of Heaven and earth is secured, other earthly fellowship either readily fall in line or swiftly become a disfellowship.
