Truth Treasures

For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:1-3 NKJV

Jesus Christ being the Way, the Truth, and the Life suggests that truth is one of the treasures in every believer’s relationship with God. Conversely, the absence of truth in any believer’s actions and dealings is clear evidence of being alienated from Christ. The truth has never been based on the appearance of things, events and circumstances, but on the revelation of Christ and His abiding presence at any time and in every moment. Even though the brethren in Colosse haven’t seen Apostle Paul physically, due to his incarceration and discouraging affliction, the treasure in the truth relating to the revelation of Christ in the heart kept everyone afloat. Beyond the physical appearances and artificial intelligence, the truth treasures are sustained by every believer’s consistent relationship with the Lord by prayer and fellowship with His revelations. The revelation of Christ is the Truth; and every trust in this treasure gives the wholesome essence of life and winsome evidence of existence.
