Wonderful Works

 “And He led them forth by the right way, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He satisfies the longing soul, And fills the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalms 107:7-9 NKJV 

One of the wholesome beauties of waiting upon the Lord always is that it produces the wonderful works of God. However, the waiting period is often treated as idleness, indolence, and inkling around in the midst of fast-paced intelligence of men. While the wonderful works of men are mostly etched on compromises, corruption and cruelty, those who are deceived by these works are never concerned about the consequences of missing the way to the city of God. As long as a temporary access to the city of gold is secured, waiters on the wonderful works of God are considered losers for their long suffering and endurance through the challenges of life. Whereas, the wonderful works of God can be slow, but they are the guaranteed pathways to everlasting rest in the city of God. God is the Guide of those who wait upon Him for guidance, instruction, and correction through the challenges of life; and only those who appreciate the wait will truly enjoy His wonderful works.

Honourable Honesty

  “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! ” Psalms 149 : 5 - 9 NKJV In seasons of afflictions and persecution from a culture of dishonesty, “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds ” appears distasteful.
