Pleasant Plants

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” II Corinthians 7:1 NKJV

Every believer as the vineyard of the Lord is planted with great expectations of fruits, including love, kindness, and mercy. And in the absence of the polluting pressures from peers and partners, everyone promises to be full of performance. However, wishes are never horses and there are no provisions for beggars in our world. The pleasant plants of the Lord are made of pushers and not beggars. These are those who have backbones to withstand and pushback the polluting influences in their ecosystem. Meanwhile, genuine conversion and salvation by the grace of God comes with a measure of the spirit of God, for every believer’s comfort from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit. Unfortunately, many so-called believers do abuse the grace of God by their romance with the polluting influences from the society, due to their fear of men. Whereas, there are greater promises awaiting the pleasant plants with the fear of the Lord; consistency in the pursuit of holiness and righteousness is their ever-flourishing fruit.
