Tough Time-out

“You have put away my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an abomination to them; I am shut up, and I cannot get out; My eye wastes away because of affliction. Lord, I have called daily upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You.” Psalms‬ ‭88‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If parent-imposed time-out is helpful in instilling disciple and positive dedications of energies in children, our Heavenly Father must be the best in the use of tough time-out with His children. Like the psalmist cried out to God “You have put away my acquaintances far from me”, all of us love our acquaintances, comfort zone, pleasures, and the affection of the world around us. But thank God that with a tough time-out, the psalmist said “Lord, I have called daily upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You”. Even today, God uses tough time-out to raise up His giants and dependable vessels for a rewardable service. And best graduates will rather beg God for His tough time-out, than log any complain for lack of personal tasteful time. Actually, for the experience “Lord, I have called daily upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You”, believers have discovered that all tough time-out with God are tasteful time-out with the best of reflections for the glory of the Lord.
