Right Responsibility

“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6:19-20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

One of the most interesting lessons from the parenting class is the fact that children struggle with taking responsibility. Children have no problem with their sense of entitlement and claims to everything provided by parents for their use; but they struggle with taking responsibility for their proper use and maintenance. Unfortunately, when the items develop fault or begin to malfunction due to improper usage, parents are forced to pickup the responsibility. Although the same challenge is illustrated here with the social problem of sexual immorality, everyone struggle with taking the right responsibility when it comes down to the proper use of our body, material and intellectual resources in life, especially when it seems that the expected end results are being achieved. However, for all believers who have fully surrendered to the Lordship of Christ, they know that being bought means nothing else is own and the right responsibility is always the surrendering of all things in their possession for the glory of God.
