Simple Salvation
“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
Acts 2:46-47 NKJVhttps://www.bible.com/114/act.2.46-47.nkjv
Those who are genuinely concerned about the real life challenges in the business of soul-winning will always the query the cause of the difference in results between now and the early church. Even starting from the home of today’s evangelists, the concern for the missing link in the expected testimony of salvation ‘And the Lord added to the church daily...’ is obvious. Couldn’t it be that we have always introduced the complications ‘...the evangelists added to the church daily?’. And little wonder the absent-mindedness and the insecurity in the hearts of those who are being added to the fellowship of God’s people today. Whereas at the early church and through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the business of soul-winning primarily focussed on the evangelists, by ensuring 1. United fellowship in the temple; 2. Understanding fruitfulness in the family; 3. Unsuspicious dinning with contentment; 4. Unsuspecting friendship with sincerity; 5. Uniform praise of God from the hearts; 6. Unparalleled favour in all public engagements; and 7. Unrelenting engagements in the business of soul-winning. And the result of a simple salvation engagement is always... the Lord added to the church daily those who are being saved [by believers’ uncensored and inspiring engagements with themselves].
