Troubled Time
“My soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O LORD —how long?...I am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.”

Without prejudice to the pain and discomfort of the troubled time experienced by the Psalmist, the revelation of his fellowship with the LORD at such moments of distress is noteworthy. Invariably, the indispensable experiences of troubled time in life is not the same as the coming troublous times awaiting those who will miss the glorious rapture of God’s Saints. And for those who are troubled by the challenges of this life, frustrated delay in the fulfillment of God’s promises, and the troubling activities of wicked people, all-night swimming of bed and the tearful drenching of couch cannot prevent the eventual shinning of the coming day. So when the heart cry out in troubled time “OLORD —how long?”, there is always an inner joy of an intimate fellowship with the Creator of heaven and earth. Whereas, the same cry in troublous times will attract no attention better than the wrath of God. Somehow, the troubled time of life provides the most amazing experiences of affection between the Creator and the works of His hands.
