Fruitful Faith

“For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ...Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;”
‭‭II Peter‬ ‭1:8, 10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The closing hours of a man’s life should normally reveal if a cunningly devised fable has been pursued as faith. Unfortunately, it is always risky for anyone to delay the hope for a saving faith to the delicate moments at the dying bed. And there are numerous examples of those who have mistakenly wasted their lives on wrong belief systems. Whereas, with careful reflection on proven conviction at the closing hours, Apostle Peter showed brethren that fruitful faith only start with the faithfulness of God, but it is not sustainable without the faithfulness of man. Therefore, the best way to be sure of your possession of a fruitful faith is by the diligent production of the gracious works of faith. Yes, the divine provision of the Gift (Son) of God guarantees a self-sufficient faith; but a diligent possession of the grace of God guarantees a self-sustaining faith.
