Asset Arrest
“But ten men were found among them who said to Ishmael, “Do not kill us, for we have treasures of wheat, barley, oil, and honey in the field.” So he desisted and did not kill them among their brethren.”
Jeremiah 41:8 NKJV

Hate speech and social violence are sometimes motivated by a misconception of the real value in self, fellow citizens, workers, and colleagues. Given the opportunity, the monster is capable of destroying the social setting of good faith like that of Governor Gedaliah. He was struck to death by his visitors after a friendly mealtime fellowship, apparently without an opportunity to arrest the uninvited rampage. But when the monster visited the ‘special ten men’, they presented themselves as a reliable asset; and the strategy worked. The strategy of attempting to arrest the monster of hate speech and social violence as a liability often lead to an escalation of social disorder. Whereas, the presentation of the good virtues in mankind, even in moments of our ugly provocation, can arrest the situation for good. Instead of querying the morality of the violence, they commanded the respect of the asset in their living “Do not kill us, for we have treasures of wheat, barley, oil, and honey in the field.” Most times, those who dwell with the mindset of violence and upset are merely bereaved of the sincere asset In themselves.
