Prudent Pursuits

“Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the LORD.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.19.14.nkjv
There are many resources that boast of empirical provisions of the principles of success in different areas of life, including academic, business, material, political success. These proven principles clearly include diligence, determination, and discipline. The only risk in humanly-recommended pattern of success principles is the possible lack of alignment with God's purpose for every life's existence, if the will of God is missed in the human pursuits. It is not prudence for anyone to invest time, treasure, and talent into life's project without an assurance of satisfaction after its successful return of investment. For example, a virtuous wife cannot be perfectly assessed by a diligent investigation of her family background, a determined assessment of the prospect of her career pursuit, and an experimental testing of her core value for discipline and respect. Only God knows the future changes in our life's values, taste, pursuits and drives; so it is not even prudence to trust our sense of judgment for our own personal best. Therefore, a prudent pursuit is rather driven by the pursuit of God's satisfaction, than being subject to human recommendation.
