Substantial Something

 “But He said to them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people.” For there were about five thousand men. Then He said to His disciples, “Make them sit down in groups of fifty.””

Knowing how almost the whole year is plagued, it is normal for the majority of people to struggle with the measuring of their personal achievements. And without a careful review of the appropriate metrics, many are likely to be unprepared for a season of prosperity and abundance in the coming year. Since human senses are wired to work by sight and not faith, solving the problem of hunger and exhaustion for 5,000 people in the wilderness with just 5 loaves and 2 fish is unthinkable. Yet, whenever God say “You give them something....”, He knows the something with us is not just something. It is a substantial something! Therefore, no matter how ravaged or plagued the efforts in the passing year, there is a substantial something in all divinely-inspired initiatives, mission plans, business ideas, etc.  When the disciples obeyed the Lord and presented their just something, the Lord multiplied the something and used it to solve the depressing problem. And if we can trust and obey the Lord with the investment of our substantial something (time, talent and treasure), there is a miracle of abundant supply and great enlargement awaiting us.

Best Bride

Honourable Honesty

  “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! ” Psalms 149 : 5 - 9 NKJV In seasons of afflictions and persecution from a culture of dishonesty, “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds ” appears distasteful.
