Saving Spirit

“But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them. ” And they went to another village.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9:55-56‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/luk.9.55-56.nkjv
While contending parties selfishly get concerned about their losses, the impact of broken relationships at home, state matters and in social networks is often borne mostly by third parties. The Samaritans that refused the entrant of Jesus Christ on the prospect of making provocative political statement on the strained relationship between Samaria and Jerusalem are possibly third-party victims. Yet, the disciples could not see beyond the impacts of these Samaritans’ actions on their Master’s Jerusalem entrant plan. When we are more concerned about people’s actions on our own progress plans, we are more likely tempted to severe strained relationships more than saving them. But when we are open to adjustments of our own personal plan in order to accommodate people’s expressions, we are more likely to expose the hidden wound for possible healing attention. Therefore, Jesus told the disciples “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them”. Effective soul-winners are blessed with saving Spirits, and not the severing Spirit, making compromises to their personal plans in order to unmask the smoke screens in all strained or broken relationships for the true Saviour’s attention.
