“Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.”...Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:17, 20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/bible/114/luk.10.17,20.nkjv
In pursuits of spiritual power and authority over the demons and the power of darkness, believers are easily distracted by celebration of every sign of victory over the kingdom of darkness. The same experience of celebration was exhibited by the seventy disciples after a successful outreach under the influence of Christ’s authority. However, Christ quickly revealed the right sense of celebration for everyday believers: freedom to follow Christ into His kingdom. When the scriptures revealed that there is joy in heaven over every soul that get freed from the kingdom of darkness, it implies that the greatest achievement in life is the salvation of souls from the grip of hell. If anything, the motive for most of disciples celebration targets the praise of believers efforts in kingdom service. Unfortunately, possible intoxication through the celebration of success in ministry often keep mighty disciples out of ministry before the crowning day. Therefore, freedom to fully follow Jesus, with possible others within anyone’s sphere of influence, to the kingdom of God represents the utmost excitement of faithful disciples.
