Shakeable Strongholds

“All your strongholds are fig trees with ripened figs: If they are shaken, They fall into the mouth of the eater.” ‭‭Nahum‬ ‭3:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/nam.3.12.nkjv
In times of economic, health, and social instability, offer of human assistance is greatly resourceful. Particularly, the favour of God brings people who are capable of influencing a positive change of situation and circumstances in the affairs of those who put their confidence in Him. However, the search for favour leads man into the temptation of replacing the favour of God with a trust in the favour from fellow men. Favour from men is always okay, but a trust in this favour is shakeable. Nineveh had put all her confidence in the strength of her business partners, political allies, intellectual capabilities, and the abundant human resource. These are strongholds with no design consideration for the unpredictable force of the wind. And a time-dependent prosperity in life means an abject poverty at sunset is possible. But, blessed are those whose help and stay is the Creator of the wind. For if they get shaken, they are unperturbed; since they are firmly rooted in God, who cannot be uprooted by the work of His hands. Shakeable strongholds are themselves eaters, who cannot be entrusted to consistently preserve the security of those threatened by the storm of life.
