Spirit Alive
"For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." (Romans 8:13 NKJV)
Consistent feeding of the body with pleasure and junk food abuses its good health. Therefore, it is believed that the body needs the supplement of good food with great exercise in order to keep alive. However, the scripture says the profit from this bodily exercise cannot be compared with the benefits of spiritual exercise. Man enjoys good compliments and equally appreciates the praise of others, but the approval of God in all of his engagements is the most important desire for a purposeful living. It makes sense to serve self and humanity only with the Spirit alive and without mortgaging our relationship with God.
