Fruitful Fellowship
“Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:1, 10 KJV
One of the major strategies of the enemies of fruitful fellowship with God in the family, workplaces and Assemblies of God’s people is the invasion of the environment with frivolous fellowship or fighting. When people are successfully prevented from fellowship with God, then they become ready tools of manipulation in the hands of the devil. Therefore, true revival starts by shutting the doors against islands of distraction for holy ascension into the hill of the Lord. This bold step is always inevitable, by activating “Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew their strength“. When we wait upon the Lord through fasting and prayer, we are basically cooperating with the spirit of the Lord to shut the doors against all islands (ie., intimidation, substances, lousiness, anxiety, notoriety, discouragement, and satanism). It then implies that fruitful fellowship is only possible with believers’ deliberate action against frivolous fellowship. The activities of the enemies didn’t have to disappear before believers could consistently believe in the efficacious presence of the almighty God. Rather, fruitful fellowship starts with every believer’s positive response to God’s gift of love, power and sound mind amidst strategic disregard to the activities of islands or fear.
