Mysterious Might

“ that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. ” Ephesians 3 : 16 - 19 NKJV By relating the depth of Apostle Paul’s prayer for God’s granting the Ephesians a mysterious might with his stern warning to the Galatians to stay him out of troubles because of the marks of Jesus Christ upon his body, anyone can appreciate the privileges and strength in focus. Unfortunately, when focus is shifted away from the most essentials in relationships, institutions, and societies, shadows become tangible substances. Whereas, the focus of the prayer here includes (1) spiritual strength for Christ’s might, (2) fruitful ...

Ruling Rod

“ The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies!” Psalms 110 : 1 - 2 NKJV While there is no doubt that the prophetic pronouncement of the Messiah’s dominion over all the antics of the enemies is centred at the right hand of the throne of grace, all the redeemed of the Lord have the same inheritance bequeathed by grace. The arch enemy of the righteous children of God understands who he is up against the moment the mercy and the grace of God are brought in.  Unfortunately, most of us are often ignorant of the potency of our ruling rod in the battles of life. “ Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool ” appears to be a simple instruction from the Lord; but no, most of us always prefer to play games with the grace of God. Whenever believers sell their birthrights or pawn their ruling rod in the market of deceitful smartn...

Humble Heritage

“I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; Yes, I will praise Him among the multitude. For He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, To save him from those who condemn him.” Psalms 109 : 30 - 31 NKJV Everyone knows that the reference to ‘the right hand of the poor’ here doesn’t suggest reservation by position, but rather by purity. Otherwise, the enemies will be free to occupy ‘the left hand of the poor!’ . The inheritance of the righteous is borne out of his attachment to Christ. Every redeemed child of God has been translated into the right hand of Christ’s wholesome purity. Therefore, this holy hand of the poor is the holy hand of the Lord God. And since Christ fully paid the price of the poor’s total redemption, there can never be any condemnation for those who have been redeemed by Him. Unfortunately, those among the redeemed who still exercised fear of invasion from the enemies are ignorant of all inheritances at the holy hand of the Lord. Little wonder the perp...

Holy Hope

“Do not let your heart envy sinners, But be zealous for the fear of the Lord all the day; For surely there is a hereafter, And your hope will not be cut off.” Proverbs 23 : 17 - 18 NKJV As someone rightly captured “our lives have become so instantaneous that anything requiring patient perseverance can appear unattractive” in today’s generation. So many empirical economic, social, and technological metrics do challenge our faith to the extent of Christ's concern “ when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” has become our unwavering reality. So as the stakes are high, the risks of confronting the realities of uncertainty in our world are consistently intimidating. Notwithstanding, there is still an unwavering hope in God because His promises are infallible. Therefore, the zeal of the righteous in pursuit of the manifestation of divine revelation shouldn’t be based on empirical evidences or realities; but this zeal or persistence is based on every believ...

Righteous Reward

“ They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause. In return for my love they are my accusers, But I give myself to prayer. Thus they have rewarded me evil for good, And hatred for my love .” Psalms 109 : 3 - 5 NKJV The religious rewards for injustice, wickedness, and all forms of unrighteousness from the enemies sometimes include the outbursts of vengeance in prayer. When the psalmist says ‘But I give myself to prayer ’, little would anyone know that God was expected to be engaged as the propaganda of wickedness and vengeance. Notwithstanding, the best response to the advances of conflicts and confrontation in life is the engagement of God in prayer. Fortunately, one of the many rewards of a sincere prayer lifestyle is the conversion of all, including ignorant seekers. If the enemies do not reward good with evil, how would God make ugly things presented before Him right? Everyone who truly or sincerely ‘give myself to prayer ’ is bound ...

Holy Help

“ Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom? Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies? Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless .” Psalms 108 : 10 - 12 NKJV The difference between human assistance and the help from God is apparently the remoteness of the help from a far away heaven. Oftentimes, God is blamed for walking against the human plans towards breakthrough and success. Whereas, we mostly have little or no idea of the definition and destination of the strong city. Even in a single family unit, and because of the import of human depravity on conflict of interest, the different parties’ helpline is sometimes treated with skepticism and suspicion. Whereas, God’s help is holy because there is no conflict of interest with divine assistance. The ultimate definition of God’s holy help is clear, and the destination of its strong city is straightforward. While man’s hidden agenda in the nego...

Sonship Status

“ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ .”  Galatians 4 : 6 - 7 NKJV There is no doubt the fact that adoption is not just the story of redemption from sin; it is the amazing story of Sonship. And the Sonship status comes with rights and privileges, including the automatic inheritance of heavenly resources, operating in the realms of the spirit far above the earthly principalities and powers, and freedom from fears, anxieties, and intimidation. Unfortunately, like the foolish Galatians, many redeemed children of God are ignorant of their status in Christ; and they are often taking advantage of by their enemies and detractors. And by operating less than the Sonship status, believers are forced to elevate the status of other gods, authorities, and powers above the counsels of God, This slavish ideology had ...
