Clear Confidence

“I know that thou canst do every thing, And that no thought can be withholden from thee. Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? Therefore have I uttered that I understood not; Things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.” Job 42:2-3 KJV

The admonition “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward (Hebrews 10:35)” underscores the reality of falling into confused confidence in believer’s days of adversities. In the advent of satanic manipulations and prolonged suffering, it is common for believers to replace their confidence in God with frustrations, even by the example of a limited exposure of Job. But after the restoration of his clear confidence in God, Job said “I know that thou canst do every thing, And that no thought can be withholden from thee”. Obviously, frustration and emotional outbursts are dividends of a confused confidence in our personal abilities and the perceived capabilities of trusted systems of people or personalities. It breaks the fragile boundaries of trust in relationships in the family, friendship and fellowship. Whereas, absolute faith in God brings a clear confidence in God’s promises, even when nothing appears to be working. The great recompense of reward for clear confidence is the enjoyment of calmness, especially when many people are freaking out on “I know that thou canst do every thing“.
