Corrective Command

“For the commandment is a lamp, And the law a light; Reproofs of instruction are the way of life” Proverbs‬ ‭6‬:‭23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ If the father’s commandment is a lamp and the mother’s law is a light, does it imply that orphans are released to walk in darkness? No, only those who disapprove instruction are deprived of the corrective command in scriptural injunction. Since God is the regulator of the curriculum for corrective command, no humble soul can miss his right dispense or discharge class for instruction towards righteousness and the way of life. Unfortunately, the proud or those who often hate the reproofs of instruction stand in the way of destruction. And while the delights of the righteous are the daily meditation in the commandments of the Lord, every corrective command through their daily activities and engagements produces the best results. Invariably, there is always a corrective command of the Most High God in all of life’s experiences; the righteous just needs to be op...

Strong Standing

“Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭30‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ When people generally say favour ain’t fair, they are generally misinterpreting favour from men as the favour from God. Although God uses men for distribution of favours, the supposed favours from men are not sustainable without divine supports. Unfortunately, many privileged people with favour have turned their backs on God in pursuit of prosperity, position, and privileges from men. Little wonder, this weak standing of favour crashes easily with a little breeze of change in the economic, political, and social landscape. For example, the psalmist learnt the strong standing favour from God through different experiences of life (i.e., either in the palace with foes or in the wilderness with friends, the Lord remained the source of his favour). And through it all, he was able to build a legacy for the glory of God; and then testify about the Lord’s sustain...

Victor’s Voice

“The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters.” Psalms‬ ‭29‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ “ Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing? ” is a familiar expression of fear from all of Christ’s disciples whenever the voices of the waters rage. Particularly, when the voice of the Lord had promised a crossover to the other side for advancement of divine assignment, productive engagement, new dawn of glory, and the manifestation of the glory of God in the lives of the people, the enemies would bring the roaring of the voices of the waters, storms, manipulation and opposition. Then, fear often takes control; and faith in the God of glory will take the backseat. After all, “ where is the Master when all these calamities are befallen the righteous? ” is always the loudest reasoning in times like this. But with just a little faith in God comes this amazing understanding and relieving belief “ The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glor...

System Support

“Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever” Psalms‬ ‭28‬:‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The beautiful thing about system support is that nobody is considered as being stupid. Issues are addressed on the basis of the client’s rating of the priority level; and not on the support’s complexity considerations. With God, the psalmist says the presence of God offers not just the strength as offensive weapon and the shield as defensive weapon. God also shepherds His saved sheep along their day-to-day life’s activities. And this divine system supports the most adorable resources for believers who live daily by the grace of God. Strength for the battle of life is good, and shield against the bombardments of life from the enemies is excellent; but the sweet fellowship with the Lord and His divine guidance is the most prized possession of the righteous. Those who truly trust in the Lord’s system support are fully protected from either the battle or the bombardme...

Worthy Walks

“A worthless person, a wicked man, Walks with a perverse mouth;”  Proverbs‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ One of the most appealing attributes of man, as deposited by God, is his creativity. This virtue is important for everyone’s submission to the walks for dominion in all of life’s engagements. Without the influence of the fall of man, worthy walks in pursuit of productivity will embrace winsome, observant, real, truthful, humble, and youthful engagements. Unfortunately, the fall of man and the influence of idleness (in the language of the scriptures) breeds a worthless and wicked personality, with a perverse mouth. Whereas, a worthy believer walks through life as: 1. a winsome personality with his eyes always on the prize; 2. an observant principal with detailed attention to the terms of reference on any project collaboration; 3. a real person that focuses on the goals, despite the challenges against performance; 4. a truthful partner with no tolerance for deception and lies; 5. a hum...

Wise Wait

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Reflecting on the diverse emotional outbursts of many respected political and religious leaders over the reported irregularities in last weekend’s presidential and National Assembly elections in Nigeria, I can see the uprising of sincere hearts ready to claim back the land from greed, wickedness, and all forms of oppression. Obviously, the land that is filled with greed and corruption is a land of the dead; and a delayed hope in any upright heart would make the heart sick, if grace for a wise wait is depleted. But believers who can sustain waiting upon the Lord will not lose hearts over any height of disappointment in this wicked worldly system. Rather than focusing on the present greed in the land, hearts on a wise wait believes...

Decisive Desire

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ If everyone is permitted to consistently review his submitted essay on life’s ambition at the elementary school, it is likely that a catalog or compendium on the challenges of life against the pursuit of the original plan will be more voluminous. Like the psalmist’s compilation of life’s challenges with the enemies and the attending fear and intimidation, the realities of life always happen to everyone’s virtualities of life, especially with futilities in the primary pursuit of God. Therefore, the psalmist presents a decisive desire that worked for him; and it promises to work for anyone who intends to promote the pursuit of God as the primary essence of life’s existence. This singular pursuit, packaged as to dwell, dress, and drill the presence of God, is free from f...
