Strong Standing

“Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭30‬:‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When people generally say favour ain’t fair, they are generally misinterpreting favour from men as the favour from God. Although God uses men for distribution of favours, the supposed favours from men are not sustainable without divine supports. Unfortunately, many privileged people with favour have turned their backs on God in pursuit of prosperity, position, and privileges from men. Little wonder, this weak standing of favour crashes easily with a little breeze of change in the economic, political, and social landscape. For example, the psalmist learnt the strong standing favour from God through different experiences of life (i.e., either in the palace with foes or in the wilderness with friends, the Lord remained the source of his favour). And through it all, he was able to build a legacy for the glory of God; and then testify about the Lord’s sustaining favour in the strong standing. By the Lord’s favour, favour is synonymous to faith; because every tide or stride sustains the manifestation of the glory of God in the affairs of those whose faith is in Him.
