Winsome Wisdom

Prosperity and promotion at all costs favour the path of sinful smartness and a discouragement to the upright in heart. This path of wisdom always claims superiority of intelligence, political sagacity, financial prowess, and social responsibility. The major drawback of this type of wisdom is the inability to keep its bearer away from sin and unrighteousness. Obviously, wisdom inspired by material sense is not sensible to the fear of the Lord. It actually subdues the godly conscience in man and makes the way of sin attractive. Unlike material wisdom, winsome wisdom is inspired by God: from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. Therefore, an upright man does not trust his head (or the head of his fellow man) for discretion, especially when the promotion of his pride is at risk. He simply pauses and waits for divine guidance, with an absolute confidence in the storehouse of God for sound wisdom. Although winsome wisdom does not often appear to win, it does safely and soundly win.

Best Bride

Honourable Honesty

  “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! ” Psalms 149 : 5 - 9 NKJV In seasons of afflictions and persecution from a culture of dishonesty, “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds ” appears distasteful.
