Sure Shield

http://bible.us/psa18.30.nkjv As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
Faith in God as a dependable Shield is essential for all believers. It is the basis of all relationships with the Lord. However, dynamic faith requires personal experience of the interplay between the Shield and the arrows. David's personal experience compared material shield with divine Shield at different times in His relationships. ‎Evidently, those who trust in material shield, including the chariot and horse formation of the world, are often disappointed at the inevitable failure, due to mismanagement of the formation. Even when His way appears unfamiliar, God's word is perfect and proven as a sure Shield.

Honourable Honesty

  “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! ” Psalms 149 : 5 - 9 NKJV In seasons of afflictions and persecution from a culture of dishonesty, “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds ” appears distasteful.
