Correct Counsel

” I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see .“ Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ A purpose-driven life is sometimes guided by counsel laden with risks to personal ambition for promotion, pleasure, and prosperity. While these are mostly correct counsels, those who are attracted to quick fame, fun, and frivolity are easy buyers of convenient counsels. That was the same mindset of Queen Esther in the palace of Ahasuerus until she was correctly counseled by Mordecai “ For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this? ” ‭‭(Esther‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬). While convenient counsels are focussed on personal interests, correct counsels a...

Triumphant Thanksgiving

” I know that the Lord will maintain The cause of the afflicted, And justice for the poor. Surely the righteous shall give thanks to Your name; The upright shall dwell in Your presence. “ Psalms‬ ‭140‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Most of the popular celebration and the offering of thanksgiving are targeted to honour the bravery and skilfulness of man, and not usually the glory of God. Unfortunately, this same mindset of a twisted thanksgiving is driving the motivation for more unrighteousness, betrayal, and dishonesty in human relationships in the family, social circles, and our societies. And when the wicked celebrates and offers his twisted thanksgiving, the righteous is tempted to often ask ‘why is the cause of the afflicted and the poor always the victim of twisted thanksgiving in this world?’ . But the psalmist here provides a different story from personal experience, with a valid evidence of triumphant thanksgiving. Besides, if the Lord maintained the cause of the afflicted Joseph, D...

Pure Partnership

“ Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar .” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭30‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The privilege to enter into partnership with the Creator of heaven and earth is one of the greatest privileges any man can ever have. And this privilege is bestowed on any redeemed child of God, who is then called into a daily life of fellowship with God through His words. Of course, this privilege does not make the compelling interaction with the world through all its polluting influences and channels go away. Unfortunately, this is one of the reasons why there are many believers, who claim partnerships with God, and even acclaimed preachers of the words of God, add and subtract from the word of God through their words and lifestyles. But the scripture declares “ Every word of God is pure! ”. No matter the challenges of life, the compelling attacks from persecutors, and the competitive influences...

Pure Pursuit

“ Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from violent men, Who have purposed to make my steps stumble .” Psalms‬ ‭140‬:‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ From time immemorial, the pursuit of God is always the purest and peaceful. Those who engage in any alternative course are bound to find restlessness. Even when the psalmist seeks preservation from violent men, his focus wasn’t removed from the revelation of God. Unfortunately, those who seek defense from the enemies are often tempted to misplace their priorities in the pure purpose of God’s revelation. There are enormous riches of heavenly visions in all of life’s engagements, including the restlessness of violent workers, like the love of God, discovery of new ideas, and channels for new opportunities. But when the righteous is distracted from God, he becomes the balls in the hands of the wicked and violent men. So, when the psalmist cried out to God “ Keep me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from violent ...

Body Building

“ But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life .” Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ Body building requires strenuous exercises and diligent commitment to training schedules. Those who understand the benefits, particularly in terms of attractions of lovers and offensive disposition, do not mess around the calls for focus. Likewise, the body of believer is the temple of God, needing focus on the resources from Heaven for its building. “ But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith “ suggests the uncompromising passage to the throne of grace…your most holy faith. Faith keeps the heart trusting in God through consistent prayer, even when the realities on the ground suggests the opposite. Maintaining the presence of God at home, workplaces, and among the circle of friends, is a courtship between God and man in the atmospher...

Sovereign Saviour

“ Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You. ” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ One of the freakiest screens or experiences for kids is the darkness. But as one grows up, a little bit of control into the understanding over darkness is expected. Unfortunately, evil workers use darkness as a tool of manipulation. Every form of darkness (intellectual, social, economical, political, physical, etc) creates a moment of instability and confusion that can be manipulated to achieve the dark passions of workers of iniquities. Notwithstanding, when the scriptures say elsewhere that “ For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind ” (II Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬), believers’ hearts are drawn to the sovereign control of God over any form of darkness in their lives. When believers suddenly realize that both darkness and light are both alike before their Saviour, they will no longer...

Dwindling Diets

“ If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds .” ‭‭II John‬ ‭1‬:‭10‬-‭11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ The place of good diet in the wellbeing of all humans cannot be overemphasized. Unfortunately, most of today’s dietary recommendations have been polluted with chemicals and served for stunted growth. This is leading to the spread of many health challenges or diseases. Just as the import of dwindling diets on physical fitness, the consumption of errors and bad doctrines has a devastating effect on our spiritual wellbeing. And as the elder lady and her household of faith were warned by Apostle John, believers have no reduced responsibility in condoning off their premises and households against the invasion of the dwindling diets in bad doctrine, malicious spirits, dreadful infiltration, and fictitious unrighteousness. Whereas, sound doctrine is just, humble, and will readily promote the interv...
