Fear Factor

http://bible.us/psa103.17.nkjv But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children Overcoming the fear factor is a major achievement in a wide assessment of human performance in life and ministry. This explains the reason why confidence and competence are almost used interchangeably as a measure of excellent performance. However, the highway of holiness prefers an humble acknowledgement ‎of personal limitations in every relationship, especially with God. The fear of God opens the door to His mercy. To those who perpetually fear the Lord, God is always up to something, even when it feels they are down to nothing. And as long as the Lord reigns, the Psalmist has no restraint to instruct his soul to bless the Lord, even when it appears the ruin overtakes the reign in all personal business and endeavours. The fear factor keeps the precious faith in God alive, even when the fate of His goodness appears merciless.

Testimony Time

http://bible.us/psa102.13-14.nkjv You will arise and have mercy on Zion; For the time to favor her, Yes, the set time, has come. For Your servants take pleasure in her stones, And show favor to her dust. If truly one man's mess is another man's wealth, gratitude is merely a personal reflection to the circumstances of life. For many who believe that favour must come with tangible promotion of affluence and influence, life will largely be a bag of complaints when promotion fantasy never match reality. For others with little less than being disposed to complaints‎, the set time for the appreciation of God's goodness keeps changing according to the time of waiting on His manifestation. Obviously, very few are like the Psalmist, who often take pleasure in stones and dust. Whatever God allows in the affairs of His children, they must be relevant for the perfection of His favour in their lives. Therefore, the Righteous can boldly testify that every time of his life is set as the...

Selfless Service

http://bible.us/psa101.6.nkjv My eyes shall be on the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me; He who walks in a perfect way, He shall serve me. Faithfulness in service seems the height of offering unto the Lord, until a man of God is inundated by the activities of an unguarded self. ‎Without the careful guidance of the Lord, it appears faithfulness may be tempted to dwell alone. For example, Moses the man of God and the meekest man on earth made a mistake of offering a service stained with self, when he was provoked by the stiff-necked children of Israel. Can anyone query the sincerity and faithfulness of Moses? Yet the Lord judged his one-time unguarded service as ' unqualified ' to enter and dwell in the promised land. Apparently, it is possible for sincere self-discretion and personal initiatives to walk outside the scope of divine guidance. Although selfless service also takes pride in faithfulness, it ensures faithful service is offered in the tabernacle witho...

Planned People

http://bible.us/psa100.3.nkjv Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Motherhood comes with enormous commitment, especially during the gestation and formative ‎period of a child's life. Despite these sacrifices, some babies are reluctantly brought into the world. As fortunate as these sets of unplanned babies, compared to those whose pregnancies are terminated by abortion, the conception of every baby is planned by God. The scripture says every creature is carefully and wonderfully made. Irrespective of the possible factor of challenging family and formative background, the circumstances of life often create the scenario of abandonment. When personal care for self existence appears insufficient, many are quick to see life as worthless. Whereas beyond the benefits of personal care for self, the Psalmist preaches the wisdom of constant acknowledgment of self as planned people of God. Gray experie...

Pure Praise

http://bible.us/psa99.9.nkjv Exalt the Lord our God, And worship at His holy hill; For the Lord our God is holy. It is readily acknowledged that‎ praise is comely but inconsistent, when shrouded only in the appreciation of the activities of the subject of praise. Many would cease the position of power in order to take advantage of the deficiency in activity-motivated praise. Therefore, peoples often play god directly or indirectly in the life and affairs of their fellows. The Psalmist have experienced the competition between the praise of peoples and the worship of God, and the consequences of imperfect praise among the people who attempt to ascend the holy hill of God. In spite of their inadequacies, Moses and Samuel succeeded in their worship at the holy hill, above the peoples in their days, because of their focus on the attributes of God, rather than His conceived activities in their affairs. Consistent worship is possible from a heart that acknowledges the sufficiency of the attr...

Sluggish Strategy

http://bible.us/psa98.1.nkjv Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. Deliverance from the network of challenges and negative circumstances often requires the deployment of intelligent strategy. Swiftness is a strong parameter for measuring the relevance of intelligence system. However, procedural systems and methods developed by men ‎are mostly comfortable with the interpretation of high-handedness as smartness. Unfortunately, the adoption of smart strategy has led to the composition of the " old song " of complaints, murmuring, and blackmail, especially when the people of God are forced to wait for the salvation of God. After the experience of the brilliancy and marvelous manifestation of God's sluggish strategy, the Psalmist enjoined God's people to release a " new song ". Faith in God's sluggish strategy produces retains the song of praise on the lips of His peop...

Love Light

http://bible.us/psa97.10-11.nkjv You who love the Lord, hate evil! He preserves the souls of His saints; He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the righteous, And gladness for the upright in heart. Relationship often becomes ‎boring when demands play the predominant basis of fellowship. Under the dispensation of the law, the interpretation of the commandment "hate evil!" can be confrontational. Conversely, every response to the love of the Lord under the dispensation of grace receives the commandment "hate evil" with comfort. The love of the Lord comes the evidence of 'hate evil', rather than the requirement to 'hate evil'. The Lord himself invest the gracious light that diffuses possible incident of darkness; especially when the love of the Lord is paramount in the heart of believers. When the righteous personally loves the Lord, the light of the Lord in the heart passionately hates evil.
