While reviewing all classes and sizes of gifts received, especially during this Christmas season, it is difficult to provide a perfect fit for all these gifts. Since there are various reasons and motivation for the presentation of gifts, inability of the gifts to sustain the same level of satisfaction is straightforward. However, the greatest Gift of the season has sustained the satisfaction of all for more than two thousand years. This Gift is the Lord Jesus Christ - the Word personified. Although the whole world celebrate His birth once in a year, He is the incorruptible word of God by which His Beloved live and move daily. Trusting in the Word of God provides safety from all the corruption in the world. Words of men and principalities have temporary effects; but the Word of God last forever. Therefore, living daily by this untarnishable gift is the perfect way of abiding under the secured haven of God.

Beside the distribution of Christmas gifts, many choices have resulted in different experiences in professions, families, and all relationships. Counting on various achievements, the influence of men may never be isolated. Although men are designed as instruments for achievements in the life of others, God deserves the totality of glory in man's accomplishments. When man accept to share God's glory with others, by concluding that nothing can be achieved otherwise, God is sidetracked. The genesis of corruptible redemption is the sharing of God's glory with others. Eventually, this effort will demand compromises. Total glory produces total redemption. No debt is incurred; for Christ's blood does paid it all. Even if all gives and takes have resulted in half or no glory for God, in the past, the present season may offer the precious moment of reconciliation. As all of God's children gather in His presence, may the totality of His glory fill the whole temple.

As the holiday spirit rises in the air, some may be wondering how the year 2009 went without achieving the many goals set. It is easy for the mind to refuse to recognize all of God's benefits in 2009, especially in the face of some deferred (if not denied) hope. Hope deferred finds strength in constant acknowledgment of God's faithfulness in the past and present. Everyday is the product of the past and present of God's mercy and grace. The sufficiency of these heavenly resources is able to sustain all deferment in hope. Obedient children have complete hope in the faithfulness of God; thereby keeping their minds from corruption. The standard of the world does not give room for complete hope in God. To them, hope deferred have no basis in godliness. Whereas the full journey of hope is the source of strength in the quest for intimate relationship with God. Waiting for the fulfillment of a promise can be frustrating, especially when patience is considered an option. There is almost no promise without the patience test. However, pressure prevents most people from passing the test. The coming of the Lord is one of the greatest promises provided to believers in Christ Jesus. But the pressure to compromise is getting stronger as the coming of Lord draws near. Compromise and camouflage play a significant role in venting of anger; leading the subject far away from the promise. The strategy of the devil is consistent: to have no man as beneficiary of God's eternal inheritance. But the only weapon against Satan's strategy is to hold on on God's promises. God's words can still the storm of impatience; and keep His promises afresh. And a daily digest, no matter the level of turbulence, is a balanced diet.
