As the holiday spirit rises in the air, some may be wondering how the year 2009 went without achieving the many goals set. It is easy for the mind to refuse to recognize all of God's benefits in 2009, especially in the face of some deferred (if not denied) hope. Hope deferred finds strength in constant acknowledgment of God's faithfulness in the past and present. Everyday is the product of the past and present of God's mercy and grace. The sufficiency of these heavenly resources is able to sustain all deferment in hope. Obedient children have complete hope in the faithfulness of God; thereby keeping their minds from corruption. The standard of the world does not give room for complete hope in God. To them, hope deferred have no basis in godliness. Whereas the full journey of hope is the source of strength in the quest for intimate relationship with God. Great anxieties are likely up in the air for many as the year 2009 is gradually coming to its end. Although few wraps of gifts may still remain unboxed, many of the experiences in the year might have already introduced disappointments, crossroads, broken hearts, shattered dreams, and loss of loved ones. The appearance of road blocks are not necessarily the end of the road; they are necessary for road improvement and maintenance work. The most important skills required of road users is the ability to monitor the signs for detours ahead of all road blocks. Genuine faith is tried, but its focus will consistently remain the praise, honour, and glory of the Lord. God desires to be glorified in all of His children's life endeavours. The maintenance of every life project represents a significant consideration in the hearts of all, bearing in mind the pressure for a sustainable economy. No investment can guarantee any return, without an established maintenance structure. Saving faith is demonstrated through the decision to accept the grace of God; but only the power of God can keep the saved from sin. It implies that both the faith of man and the power of God will be required for eternal salvation. It is often scary for many to attempt life's projects with seemingly unbearable risk level, because of the maintenance concern. But if these projects are ascertained to be God's, only the steps of faith are required from man. God's projects cannot lack heavenly resources for maintenance. Be it family project, professional or business project, and ministerial calling, if the projects are initiated by God, failure to reserve God's projects completely in God's hands is the reason for divorce in marriage, ...

Waiting for the fulfillment of a promise can be frustrating, especially when patience is considered an option. There is almost no promise without the patience test. However, pressure prevents most people from passing the test. The coming of the Lord is one of the greatest promises provided to believers in Christ Jesus. But the pressure to compromise is getting stronger as the coming of Lord draws near. Compromise and camouflage play a significant role in venting of anger; leading the subject far away from the promise. The strategy of the devil is consistent: to have no man as beneficiary of God's eternal inheritance. But the only weapon against Satan's strategy is to hold on on God's promises. God's words can still the storm of impatience; and keep His promises afresh. And a daily digest, no matter the level of turbulence, is a balanced diet.

The importance of effective regulation cannot be underestimated in order to uphold fair business standards. While some professions seem to function effectively with self-regulation, most professionals who are responsible for providing essential services may not operate, as required, without state regulation. In most systems, the quest to acquire wealth has played down the expected dignity in business services. Unfortunately, increasing assets without consideration for others lead to shame and complete loss in the end. The only asset that last the test of time is built on fairness and faithfulness to the will of God. Assets that build people in the fear of God cannot be corrupted by physical destruction; because the real value of the asset cannot be assessed by the world. Secured assets are invested under divine regulation.

Besides demonic influences, men have great satisfaction with every opportunity to do good to others. However, self consideration do plague human sense of goodness, leaving man with jealousy and blame shifting. Every good and great ambition of man has glorious timing in God's economy; but man must be patient to discover the acceptable way of implementation. Man was created good by God; and will continue to do good if the counsel of God prevails at all times. There is no special training required to know how to do good; goodness is an innate attribute of man. If the veil of self consideration is lifted from human eyes, needs of others and the means of meeting them will become visible. Most times, others (including God) are judged when fairness is wrongly construed.

Without taken seriously the exact rate increase in knowledge, the trend of about 66% increase in information production per year, as published in recent study, is consistent with bible prophecy. As beneficial as the advancement in information technology to scientific discovery and innovation, it has the potential of weakening the foundation of faith. Increase in knowledge inherently dredges the well of pride in the heart of man. Pride often camouflages as doubt; disallowing the influence of faith in all of human activities. Absolute submission to God can only be made possible with doubt drain, for all who have established a cordial relationship with their Maker. The activities of God in human life are not constrained by the increase in knowledge, but by the deficiency of faith or presence of doubt. Heaven is promised where doubt is drained, when knowledge increases.
