Vineyard Visitation
“Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts; Look down from heaven and see, And visit this vine And the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, And the branch that You made strong for Yourself.” Psalms 80:14-15 NKJV
Vardyard visitation started at the garden of Eden. It is a fundamental fellowship of God, the Creator and Chief vineyard Keeper, with man - the created Being. But the fall of man changes everything…and the fallen vine was thrown outside to choose either to rot or receive the Keeper’s plan of redemption. And throughout the dispensations, spanning from Old Testament to New Testament, the story of vineyard visitation remains the only relevance of life’s reality and restoration from repudiation. And unlike the dread and death in the deceitfulness of riches, fame and worldliness, this vine has never survived without the worth, warmth, and wellness of the vineyard visitation. Notwithstanding, while the psalmist’s plea “Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts“ is apt, the vineyard Keeper hasn’t ever gone away. It is the fallen vine that needs to return. For He had said and still saying “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28)”. Whenever any God’s battered prodigal son is tired of the cold and cruelty of this broken world and decides to return home, our Heavenly Father is always ready to forgive and admit into the sweetness of His vineyard visitation.
