God’s Glory
“When Jesus heard that, He said, “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”” John 11:4 NKJV
The raising of Lazarus from the dead teaches the importance of believer’s faith in the glory of God. Since we, probably, see more of the gruesome gloom in our system, developing a stable and consistent faith in the glory of God is always rare. Even when Martha had testified to Jesus “But even now I know that whatever You ask of God, God will give You (John 11:22)”, she still later responded to Jesus’ instruction “Take away the stone”: “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days” (John 11:39). Notwithstanding, Jesus brought the dead Lazarus back to life, in line with His declaration “This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God“. Even though life’s challenges, economically, socially, and politically, as dead experiences, are hard, they are often the brightest paths to God’s glory. Shouldn’t believers alway keep their hope in the path to God’s glory, rather than buy the enemy’s offers and succumb to His fake glory and satanic manipulations? Once we are convinced of God’s promises, we can be confident that any gruesome gloom along the path will lead to God’s glory.
