Reversed Rebuke
““Now let no man contend, or rebuke another; For your people are like those who contend with the priest.”
Hosea 4:4 NKJVhttps://www.bible.com/114/hos.4.4.nkjv
Call for change is always a free-for-all call, not just because it is cheap. It is one of the best way to pretend that everything remains under control. Whereas, a genuine call for change starts with the caller. In order to influence a sincere change in the lives of children at home, the parents must clearly demonstrate a sincere commitment to change themselves. Likewise, no call for genuine change in a system, institution and nation can be experienced without a demonstrable commitment in the leadership. Therefore, when God would deal with the sin and idolatry of Israel, He stopped the priests from name-calling: “Now let no man contend, or rebuke another”. Sometimes, the required call for change in leadership is just a change in the methodology or strategy for system operations. Whenever a rebuke system is carefully made to be non-vindictive, a call for change becomes more productive and less confrontational. Before then, a sincere commitment of every caller to a reversed rebuke strategy remains the best approach to an effective conflict management and an escape route from divine retribution.
