Consistent Cleanliness

“Behold, on the mountains The feet of him who brings good tidings, Who proclaims peace! O Judah, keep your appointed feasts, Perform your vows. For the wicked one shall no more pass through you; He is utterly cut off.” ‭‭Nahum‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/nam.1.15.nkjv
The pride of the wicked is always his prosperity, while the problem of the righteous remains a disregard for the sense of poverty of Spirit. Meanwhile, the God of both the righteous and the wicked is often more concerned about the character than the circumstances of His people. For example, the wicked Nineveh cannot abuse the mercy of God without attracting His Judgment; while the righteous Judah cannot abuse the grace of God without facing the same judgment with the wicked. Therefore, and unlike Jonah, consistency with the preaching the gospel of peace is encouraged. Like the ferocious messages of immortality and materialism consistently invade the social, educational and entertainment spaces, the righteous are called to be aggressive with the publication of good tidings within their spaces. The call for aggressiveness is even more a recipe to protect the preacher than the lifeline for the unregenerate. Otherwise, it would be impossible for the righteous to keep the appointed feasts and perform the sacred vows in God’s presence, when the hearts are polluted with evil and unrighteousness. Actually, it is the consistency with cleanliness that makes the difference between godliness or ungodliness.
