Vain Vision

“ Why do the heathen rage, And the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, And cast away their cords from us .” Psalm 2 : 1 - 3 KJV When Apostle Paul defended elsewhere his pursuit of the victorious vision before king Agrippa with “ I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision” (Acts  26:19), he indirectly confronted the penchant of the kings of the earth for vain vision. The root of disobedience and rebellion in the world is the self-inflicted imagination of the heart against the counsel and commandment of the Lord. Unfortunately, as it was with the fall of man at the garden of Eden, so it is now with human advances in knowledge, position of authority, and material prosperity. Whereas, it is always a vain vision for anyone (especially followers of Christ and those who claim the understanding of the will of God) to diso...

Righteous Resolution

“ Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; And in his law doth he meditate day and night. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.” Psalm 1 : 1 - 2 , 6 KJV The problem with the concept of New Year resolutions is that the resolutions are results focussed, including new walkout goals, new diet habits, new relationship models for family, social, and workplace partners, etc. We know that these results resolutions are hard to keep and maintain with the best of human strategies. When Thomas Edition acclaimed ‘Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration ’, he probably believed in the divine order of the 1% inspiration in the 100% success principle. Remove the 1 ahead of the 100 and you’ll get zero, NOT 99! Little wonder the psalmist clearly adopted a righteous resolution strategy, instead of ...

Wise Worship

“ Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God. ”” Revelation 22 : 9 NKJV It is natural for any man to worship what or who he appreciates. Unfortunately, when we replace the worship of God for the worship of people and things that command our respect on the basis of their performances, we automatically break our allegiance to God and His commandments. For example, the wholesome performance of the angel with the revelation of the eschatological events was highly impressive to John the Beloved; and he was reasonably moved to worship the angel for this performance. Absolutely, there is nothing wrong with our showing of gratitude with appreciation; but it is always difficult for the heart of man to draw the line or boundary that can definitely separate appreciation from worship. Thankfully, the angel responded with a profound principle: Worship God! And ...

Best Bride

“ And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son .” Revelation 21 : 6 - 7 NKJV By reflecting on the best activities in the passing year 2025 and its lost privileges and opportunities, the most sincere response in the assessment of human efforts is likely to be baggage. Nothing is definitely assessed as “ It is done! “ on the basis of human limitations on relationships, participation, etc. Notwithstanding, the engagement of God in all of life’s affairs always leads to the production of a transformed life, a new beginning, and somehow like the best bride. Instead of getting wrecked by the disappointments arising from our engagement of human activities and opinions in the passing 2025, we can get rocked by the transformation of Jesus Christ into the best bride for the year 2026...

Honourable Honesty

“ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment— This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! ” Psalms 149 : 5 - 9 NKJV In seasons of afflictions and persecution from a culture of dishonesty, “ Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds ” appears distasteful. While heaven and its promises wait, saints often walk around with their eyes dropped, shoulders lowered, and feet shackled…thinking what a joyful noise in gory? Unfortunately, dishonesty and diplomacy are the only wares that trend in the waiting seasons. Whereas, heaven always expects faith in God to inspire the righteous delight of saints who are called and commanded to be joyful in glory on their beds of af...

Manifold Mercies

“ Yet in Your manifold mercies You did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of the cloud did not depart from them by day, To lead them on the road; Nor the pillar of fire by night, To show them light, And the way they should go. ” Nehemiah 9 : 19 NKJV As we step into the last week of 2025 and the first week of 2026, many believers will rightly agree with Nehemiah’s folks on the same confession of the manifold mercies of God in spite of our unfaithfulness. Even the Book of Revelation reveals Jesus Christ to the churches in the New Testament as Faithful and True, as the nations are prepared to face the judgment of God at the close of age. It is only troubling that in spite of the manifold mercies of God, the miserable manipulation of the enemy can readily attract defilement of divine offer with abuses. Therefore, less we get carried away by the overlords of mismanagement, misinformation and manipulation from human reports, believers are invited to reflect on the manifo...

True Thing

“ Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” So the Levites quieted all the people, saying, “Be still, for the day is holy; do not be grieved.” ” Nehemiah 8 : 10 - 11 NKJV “ Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted (Matthew 5 : 4 )” remains the revelation of the true thing in the midst of the present-day frivolity and carelessness. A solemn assembly for the reading of the book of the Law, after a very long period of distraction, by Ezra the scribe and supported by Nehemiah the governor with the Levites inspired the divine revelation of the commandments of the Lord. Unfortunately, the tiny things, which represent the inconsequential social relationships, worldly entertainment and social extravagances, have always attracted the hearts of men. These tiny things have succeeded in creating the at...
