Unfortunately, our homes, institutions, and societies are losing men with hopeful hearts, by their strategic adoption of lawlessness as a learning curriculum. And tell me a significant signal of a strained relationship; it is easy to bet on the lead toward an absence of clear communication between parties. Little wonder, there is often a hike in human relapse into depression and suicide tendencies for those who seemed to have explored all channels for a trusted communication. While psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers have devised scientific methods of suppression, the psalmist tells of a reliable source of solution and salvation for all of human problems and disturbances: tell it to Jesus . Beyond the best of privileges in human relationships, the privilege of a dialogue with God represents a diligent discourse. Why? In a diligent discourse with God, there can never be a stupid or wrong question. ...

  “Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, Than great treasure with trouble.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ God has often admonished His people to have faith like the little lilies with perennial shadowy flowers, despite their insignificant strength and preparation. Unfortunately, human beings are wired to pride in the personal accumulation of their physical strength and material sufficiency. By trying to seek control, be in charge, and command attention to the system around our places of engagement, we often lose sight of the needed focus on the sovereignty of God. Even though king Solomon knew and prayed for a perpetual enthronement of God’s sovereignty, he couldn’t sustain the fear of the Lord amidst his friendship with the world. Even today, only those who can sustain the fear of the Lord amidst the deceitfulness of riches, worldly entertainment, and the desire for positions can flourish perpetually like the little lilies.

  “Make vows to the Lord your God, and pay them; Let all who are around Him bring presents to Him who ought to be feared. This is one of the primary reasons or the motivation for most people’s choices towards career prospects, business pursuits, residency placement, and social relationships. Unfortunately, these real life pursuits do readily attract the making of vows to selected people or personalities turned idols in any undiscerning believer’s life. Ideally, the making of vows to significant others is not necessarily wrong, if it doesn’t undermine or vacate the believer’s vows to the King of kings and the Lord of lords.   “Have respect to the covenant; For the dark places of the earth are full of the haunts of cruelty. Arise, O God, plead Your own cause; Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily.” Psalms‬ ‭74‬:‭20‬, ‭22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ One of the privileges of prayer is finding rest to a faulty rise. “ Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest ” (Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬) remains the promise from the Lord. Without the ascent into the throne of grace for this privilege is the throwing of self-help, self-will, and self-management, leading the troubled hearts into the sea of confusion, confrontation, and contamination.  But when the righteous prays, he gets to remember the Father’s covenant of peace in times of storms, dominion in the face of oppression, and victory against the display of cruelty.
