Sustainable Salvation

“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:9-10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/rom.5.9-10.nkjv Without the understanding of the power of grace, the salvation experience becomes redundant and a mere resemblance of a call to a new lifestyle of dutiful relationship with God. Little wonder many religious people do struggle to convince the unbelievers about the import of the salvation message, being mostly deficient when measured on the scale of morality. Fortunately, everything changed supernaturally and instantaneously the moment a soul has a genuine encounter with the grace of God. When the scriptures affirmed that old things are passed away, it truly emphasized that all things immediately become new. Unfortunately, many people do think of salvation as just a ti...

Sin Stature

“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭ 3:23 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/rom.3.23.nkjv It is literally convenient for anyone to establish the difference between a sinner and a saint on the evidence of sin. Whereas, no one is a sinner because he sins; everyone sins because he is a sinner. Unfortunately, the consequences of sin is often being treated as the outcome of shortage in our protein diets. If a short stature is hereditary, no level of richness in the protein diet can transform the stature from short to average. Therefore, when the scriptures affirmed that “ for all have sinned ”, it does revealed the sin stature in all men. And all our righteousness will always fall short of the glory of God, even if they are able to buy the credit of favour, reputation, privileges and recommendations from fellow man. Since the sin stature was inherited, only the freely-given grace and the fully-paid salvation by the Son of God can deliver the soul of ...

Senseless Suppression

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭ 1:18-19 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/rom.1.18-19.nkjv Just like ignorance is not a tenable excuse in the court of law, the logic of ignorance appears more than untenable before the God of heaven, especially when assessing the ungodliness and unrighteousness of men. The holy scriptures kind of used the word ‘ senseless suppression ‘ of the gospel truth. While sincere sinners commit sin because they know not how not to sin, there are many who engage in the act of sin because they prefer the path of sin to the way of salvation. Although Jesus declared the gospel truth ‘ I am the way, the truth, and the life ’ to His disciples, the scriptures revealed that the same declaration is obvious in different ways to all men. Unfortunately, those who have d...

Righteous Race

“But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭ 20:24 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/act.20.24.nkjv The race for relevance in the family, fellowship and the fields of life’s endeavour is built for real man, especially those who are prepared for its accompanying sacrifices. But when someone said in reference to the battles of life ‘ you win some, you lose some’ , it becomes obvious the challenges of prioritizing the diversity of interests in the race of life. However, among the divers of considerations and criteria in the race of life, real men are expected to respect the axiom that if ‘ you win some, you lose some ’, you must live to fight again. Unfortunately, by the consideration ‘nor do I count my life dear to myself’, Paul’s criterion here appeared and will always appear stupid until the understan...

Creator’s Creation

“so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭17:27-28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/act.17.27-28.nkjv The concept of creativity can be viewed from the perspective of both the Creator and the creatures. Albeit, it is understandable why we are limited to easily grope for the creatures’ perspective. Unfortunately, as knowledge and technology advances, innovation and creativity have further strengthen the relevance of the creatures’ perspective. However, to the philosophers in Athens, Paul presented the Creator’s perspective as the most reliable view on the subject of creativity. While no one can by knowledge search find out God, all of man’s creativity are within His creation. And when we became messed up by sin and cannot deliver ourselves by our creativity, ...

Saved Sinners

“Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭13:38-39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/act.13.38-39.nkjv Although the race for relevance has compelled man to master divers tricks, the redemption road has defiled all forms of mastery that are powered by race. While religion represents a typical type of race towards securing the favour of God, none of it can provide the forgiveness of sins and justification from sinful practices. Being a perfect recipient of a dramatic transformation after a wasteful pursuit of freedom by race, Paul presented the true Saviour - Jesus Christ - the Lamb of God and the Justifier of all men, who brought grace down to replace the needless and fruitless race in life. Yes, salvation from sin is a gift of grace and not a game of race. Unfortunately, many do sti...

Wholesome Words

“Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/act.6.7.nkjv Someone once said the devil can be anything but a fool. Against the widespread of the gospel message and the incredible growth in the early church quickly came a weighted accusation of discrimination. Likewise, there are always genuine concerns in every family, assembly and organization where human management is represented. Unknowingly to many often, these distractions are targeted at suspending devotion to the words of the Lord and the pursuit of godliness. While the famous approach to addressing confrontation, concerns or weighted words in believer’s life or affairs is the suspension of the wholesome words, the apostles chose the approach of delegation without losing focus. Prompt attention to words from people in our lives is good; but when this attention is aime...
