Right Reigns

“The silver-haired head is a crown of glory, If it is found in the way of righteousness.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭ 16:31 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/pro.16.31.nkjv Without prejudice to certain motivation to cover silver(grey)-haired head with dark dye,  there is often a misconception to the essence for human existence and the appreciable justification for long life. While grey hair suggests an extended life occupancy, many are not often proud about its lack of an esteemed life expectancy. To wear a grey hair with shame is to live with the concept of prosperity-driven life, instead of purpose-driven life. Whereas, the scriptures declare that right reigns means righteousness and not riches. Unfortunately, at home, workplaces, and in the society, men of good character, honesty and godly counsels are often disrespected by family members, work partners and fellow citizens. Actually, men that treat gains as godliness are mostly disqualified from wearing a silver-haired head and desti...

Ambitious Appearance

“Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭ 16:18 ‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/pro.16.18.nkjv The simple difference between performance and appearance is that the former assessment suggests objectivity and sincerity, while the latter is mostly subjective and insincere. While an objective assessment of personal conducts is good, people are often reluctant to provide it and sacrifice their good working relationships. Unfortunately, improvement in social, life and work performances with ambitious appearance becomes almost impossible, especially when self-assessment becloud the sense of a sincere assessment. Pride prevents the mind from receiving instructions, warnings and sincere admonition. Whereas, a humble soul (and not haughty spirit) is easily entreated to find and follow the path of righteousness. Only the Spirit of the Lord searches the heart and reveals the state to those who trust in Him. But those who lean on their own understa...

Righteous Recess

The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil. Proverbs 15:28 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/pro.15.28.NKJV The major discourse in all of family, business, social and career engagements invites the access of everyone. Also, life's performances are often measured by the speed of access. People are quick to reward those who talk faster than their thought-capacity can handle on most social handles or fora. Whereas, wisdom suggests that the righteous care more for a recess than for an access. A recess to study how to answer is actually an access into the presence of God. And it is a perfect metric for measuring the degree of deficiency towards foolishness in every man. Unfortunately, when a basket-mouth often gets famous for his parade of foolishness, what can the righteous do? Notwithstanding, a righteous recess remains a tree of life; while the travesty of evil has no hold on those who care more for the presence of God in their...

Fruitful Fellowship

By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom. Proverbs 13:10 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/pro.13.10.NKJV Working with people is absolutely easy with a complete ignoramus. But managing people, who takes pride in promoting their sense of ideas and an appreciable knowledge of a system workings, is difficult. Notwithstanding, human administration thrives better when leadership is powered by a committee -based approach; where a collection of ideas, suggestions and feedbacks is resourceful for a smooth working of any system that is driven by the contributions from human personnel. Unfortunately, a proud heart is somewhat deceived; and it serves an ill-fortuned system as a loner and strife-pusher. And when a system is grounded in strife, productivity goes down and the general fellowship suffers considerably. Whereas, a fruitful leader often swallow his pride and sensitive to the diverse advice from the people for the general good of the system. This is simply...

Hasty Heart

“Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, Nor let her allure you with her eyelids.” Proverbs 6:25 NKJV https://www.bible.com/114/pro.6.25.nkjv Loneliness is unhealthy. And a loose search for good acquaintance for a lonely heart is healthy, but the search is not sufficient to keep the heart away from trouble. This is because a wicked choice for acquaintance can definitely destroy faster and fatally damage than loneliness. Unfortunately, hasty hearts select long term partners on the basis of transient beauty and worldly allurement. And as soon as the fake beauty comes home to roast, lust is severely punished instead of loneliness. Whereas, genuine and true love for God and His purpose in life prevents the heart from entertaining the lust of fake beauty and worldly allurement. Anyone who cannot solemnly love the beauty of God in the heart MUST lust after or get carried away by the flash in worldly beauties. Hasty hearts can get by worldly amusement with little or no commitme...

Free Favour

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so. Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it, ” When you have it with you.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:27-28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/pro.3.27-28.nkjv The concept of favour from man is freaky because anything from man is mostly subject to hoarding, harassment, and humiliation. Unfortunately, most owners of freaky favour have a price tag which must be respected. “Give me your trust, time, treasure, or talent in exchange for my favour”, they seem to say. Whereas, God is the true Owner of favour in life; and His favour is absolutely free. Therefore, the wise word admonishes “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due”. In all of man’s relationships in search of favour, there is always something that God has empowered the hand to give. Consequently, true partners in the business of free favour will ask God for what to give rather than man.

Full Favour

“Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ https://www.bible.com/114/pro.3.3-4.nkjv While mercy sustains the relationships with fellow men, truth strengthens the believers’ relationship with God. Notwithstanding, the pursuit of favour, prosperity and promotion in life is mostly treated solely as the products of human relationships, rather than being powered by divine interaction. Fake mercy for favour, either with man or from man, is often pursued through the compromise of a sincere and absolute truth in the heart. However, to find [full] favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man, the Spirit says “Let not mercy and truth forsake you”. Full favour brings both riches and rest or the peace of mind to enjoy the riches; and it provides both promotion or privileges and the relevance or the positive impact of the position in t...
