Strange Solicitor

“The heart knows its own bitterness, And a stranger does not share its joy.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭14:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.14.10.nkjv A sincere home represents a collection of bitter and joyful experiences. There are moments when realizations are far from expectations, especially from most relationships among parties in the family. Unlike what obtained in fairy tale family episodes, the scriptures say that a sincere heart will never fake joy in times of bitterness. Evidently, there will always be moments of loneliness, failed expectations, misrepresentation, disappointment, etc, in a blessed relationship. However, access to the throne of grace brings comfort, joy, appreciation, and fellowship that cannot be obtained from miserable comforters. These strange solicitors offer transient break from sorrow, happiness in place of joy, commendation instead of permanent accommodation. Whereas, the Sovereign God is the Sun and the Shield of the righteous. He gives grace in our moments ...

Fair Favour

“Good understanding gains favor, But the way of the unfaithful is hard.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13:15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.13.15.nkjv There is always a subtle understanding that favour ain't fair, especially as favour is not considered the true product of a man's action. However, this subtle understanding is not supported by the scriptures. Truly, hard ways and days are mostly complicated, but God always have good thoughts concerning all His abiding children during their hard times. Would man be patient enough to pay attention to God's teachings in times of difficulty, good understanding of the difference between God's ways and man's expectations will be gained. Unfortunately, most of God's children lack the good understanding, either through wilful disobedience or ignorant unfaithfulness to His instructions, leading to a misconception of the season of trials and a prolonged days of hardness. Nevertheless, there is equally a fair favour in hard times, coup...

Lips Leap

"He who guards his mouth preserves his life, But he who opens wide his lips shall have destruction." ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.13.3.nkjv Lips are positioned to keep the tongue in check against unnecessary sellout and endangering of life. The scriptures even considered a fool as being wise, when the mouth is kept closed. A secured family unit, safe state and orderly organization are kept secured, until a strategic intelligent gathering machinery is invested in the trading of information through the gateway of an item of compromise. For Samson, the item of compromise was his uncontrolled lust for strange women. He sold the secret of his divine strength on the bed of immortality. Sometimes, lips are thrown wide open for no justifiable reason: boredom, low self-esteem, pride, self-gratification, etc. Therefore, unless divinely compelled or authorized otherwise, a check against lips leap keeps the ship of life cruising against unnecessary assaults and ...

Privileged Possession

“The lazy man does not roast what he took in hunting, But diligence is man’s precious possession.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.12.27.nkjv Attainment of riches, reward, and reputation is mostly the desirable ends of every man's devotion and preoccupation. However, everyone knows that the perceived result of anyone's labour in life is not directly proportional to the quality of inputs invested. It implies that real reward cannot be easily assessed by human intelligence and the accumulation of anyone's privileged possession. Instead, real reward is the celebration of a man's diligence and a determined dedication to a purpose-driven life. Invariably, those who are tempted to pulse their pursuits of excellence in life, in order to celebrate a developing achievement, are regarded as lazy people and lacking the precious possession. Therefore, either assessed as good or bad possession, the results of a diligent man's labour today represent the pri...

Social Significance

“Better is the one who is slighted but has a servant, Than he who honors himself but lacks bread.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.12.9.nkjv The encouragement and engineering of stomach infrastructure are enshrined in an intelligent mix of social significance and political profiling. Therefore, corrupt politicians know how to brainwash their vulnerable targets with the bread of conveyance. Unfortunately, many are quick to realize the error in the presumptuous selling off of their birthrights, only after the deeds have been finalized. The problem with the bread of conveyance is the lack of sustaining satisfaction. Unlike the bread of conveyance, true bread brings independence, comfort, and satisfaction. This bread is symbolic of the sound teaching of the word of life. Consequently, preachers of righteousness are not motivated by an encouraging passage of the living bread; they are rather motivated by their confidence in the ability of the declared truth to bring fr...

Timed Treasure

“He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbor, But a man of understanding holds his peace.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭11:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ http://bible.com/114/pro.11.12.nkjv A good asset manager understands the evaluation of the variants of resources, including human and material resources. His understanding guides investment decisions, especially when the payback periods are mostly at future times. However, a rewarding management of human resources demands more than academic inspiration. Without the inspiration of God - who is the Creator of man and knows the end of man from his beginning, no one can rightly predict the returns of all investment in the life of any creature of God. And since the scriptures say only a fool give up on anyone, a wise parent, pastor, and partner need not despise the apparent foolishness in the investment courage in the life and career of any child, congregation, and companion. Therefore, let us all endeavor to keep the light of hope peacefully shining. After all, we a...

Lovely Lips

Proverbs 10:21 (NKJV) The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom. The natural man is reactive to the actions and inaction of his environment. Therefore, hostile and unaccommodating environment begat aggressive disposition in a zombie-like man, i.e., the garbage in, garbage out system. Unfortunately, the scripture likens this natural disposition to the nature of a fool. Unlike a fool, the righteous is reactive to the deposit of grace in the heart, rather than the derivatives of race in his environment. Therefore, the light of a righteous man shines, even brighter with the darkness in his environment. Little wonder, the lips of the righteous feed many with indiscriminate love.
