Vain Vigilance

http://bible.us/psa127.1.nkjv Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. Every good man knows that the security of his home is beyond the limit of financial and emotional supplies. Since supplies are tied to the issue of control, all the elements in the home, including the parents and children, often struggle with the reality of the limit to individual's level of control. Even when all may readily acknowledge the supremacy of divine power, many wrestle with the concept of total surrendering to His control. Whereas the best of human ability and control are within the radar of spiritual attack beyond the capacity of material watchman-ship. For example, the Lord provides the best parenting skills against the invasion of the wicked world. Money can buy a good house, but incapable of providing a happy home. Good training can be provided by the parents' communication with the children, but go...

Scattered Sowing

http://bible.us/psa126.6.nkjv He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him. ‎ Consistent sowing is normally powered by continuous encouragement and appreciation of good intentions. ‎Every seed planted at the appropriate season on good soil has a definite time for monitoring the different stages of its development. And the sower can joyfully sequence the harvest time, based on diligent record of the sowing time. But the same routine sowing is discouraged when every good effort and intention returns little appreciation. However, it is noteworthy that good seed is not sensored by the great salutation; it is rather powered by generous sower. Continuity in the business of sowing grace for grinch (a killjoy) never go unrewarded before the God of harvest. As long as good seed is capable of producing great salvation, scattered sowing is encouraged; howbeit in tears. Being the Great Sower of love and ...

Mountain Movers

http://bible.us/psa125.1.nkjv Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. In the awakening and rumbling of wickedness, the centre of trust finds little confidence in any anchor. And when challenges stand like mountains around the habitation of the people of God, it is difficult for anyone to stand on the efficacy of ' If thou shalt say unto these mountains... '. Mountains have often chased movers away from the hill of the Lord, running for sustenance in wrong places. But those who would dare not trust in the rumbling of their challenges can still lift up their voices and speak to mountains in their lives. Trusting in the Lord tells more about our status as mountain movers rather than the threat to God's statute towards mountain movement.

Lonely Lane

http://bible.us/psa124.8.nkjv Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. Keeping up with the social demands of workplace, play group, and society is always a great challenge for anyone who understand the limits of human dependences. ‎However, the competition for relevance remains stiff and difficult to manage, even within environment with delegated authority. When the need for someone to rescue man from financial embarrassment, health challenges, professional difficulties and social problems is unassuming, the soul becomes vulnerable to any offer of assistance or support from competitive fellow. Unfortunately, man is directly pulled into the game of competition with God under the disguise of human assistance. Whereas, human assistance operates within the ambient of divine providence; and it is not designed to take away the name of God from the heart of man. Like the Psalmist positioned, travelling on a lonely lane with the Maker of heaven and earth saves the hear...

Contemptuous Contemplation

http://bible.us/psa123.3-4.nkjv Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on us! For we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled With the scorn of those who are at ease, With the contempt of the proud. The earth is the Lord and the fullness thereof totally radiates the glory of His majesty. Being a special creature of God, man is expected to be wholly busy with the praise of the beauty of creation, if his heart is not distracted from the appreciation of the Creator's intelligent design. Unfortunately, the recognition of the activities of the Devil has often rob the heart of man the expected contemplation on the glory of God. Whenever the heart is emptied of the worship of God, it is automatically filled with the contempt of the proud. The justification is the playing of the Devil's advocate on evil workers, trying to breathe down on man; and invariably justify the irrelevance of other creatures of God at every given opportunity. Like many who are distr...

Errand Escort

http://bible.us/psa121.8.nkjv The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore. Those who are privileged to engage the service of escort, especially along the troublesome path of life, know the level of confidence boosting derived from their security consciousness. Most escort service provides both forward and backward vigilance and clearance, so that the threat of assault is significantly reduced. ‎Unfortunately, there are limits to the confidence in security vigilance provided by physical escort. Having exhausted the limits of physical intelligence against assaults on his life, the Psalmist resolved to lift his eyes unto the hills of the Lord. God's help can rescue from all forms, including financial, social, security, emotional, etc, embarrassments. However, the divine service starts only when man decides to hands down on all his confidence in physical intelligence. God's errand escort preserves the souls of all consisten...

Accidental Arrows

http://bible.us/psa120.4-7.nkjv Sharp arrows of the warrior, With coals of the broom tree! ... My soul has dwelt too long With one who hates peace. I am for peace; But when I speak, they are for war. " Show me your friends ", says the adage, " ...and I will show you the kind of person you are ". Personal character is strongly influenced by the preferred group association. Unfortunately, many are deceived by their lack of strong character to resist the pressure to keep company, whose agendas are not compatible with its beliefs. Whenever a conflict arises between personal belief and behaviour, a change ‎of company or association is mostly necessary. A man is more of who says he is, more than who he thinks he is. Accidental Arrows are equally dangerous and destructive as intentional arrows. ‎
