Dangerous Discourse

http://bible.us/psa119.115.nkjv Depart from me, you evildoers, For I will keep the commandments of my God! Friendliness is mostly attracted by mutual benefits. Unfortunately, not all parties are smart with an accurate analysis of the costs and benefits of unequal partnership. Like the deceit that got Adam and Eve into trouble and the fall from grace, the world promises popularity, promotion, and prosperity at the expense of a righteous relationship with God - the Maker. The scripture declares all agents of the world, which may include disobedient spouse, unrighteous leaders in the church, society and workplaces, and all immoral business partners as evildoers. Whosoever presents worldly benefits at the cost of heavenly riches becomes a little god. However, the Psalmist and Spirit say ' Run !'. ' Depart from me ' means ran away from the deception of unrighteous benefits. Contentment in a righteous relationship with God is the antidote against a dangerous discourse with ...

Lightened Life

http://bible.us/psa119.105-106.nkjv Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. I have sworn and confirmed That I will keep Your righteous judgments. Life is often filled with a bunch of struggle ‎between either a desire for guided feet or a delight in a lightened path. A devotion to the study of the principles of good success and moral precepts, as presented by the wisdom of men can offer a guided feet, without assurance of a lightened path. The path of the righteous is lightened, even when in deep colouration of waste and wickedness. Whenever the path get darkened, especially at the moment of the best investment of human resources, a lightened life is not greeted with despair and discouragement. The Psalmist has shown that a sustainable encouragement cannot be built on the accumulation of material wealth or the advancement of political influence. Real joy is anchored on the prosperity of the word of God in the heart of man. Therefore, a lightened life enjoys the combinat...

Spiritual Superiority

http://bible.us/psa119.98.nkjv You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me. Without the competition for superiority of idea, skill, intelligence, financial or political power‎, this world will make fewer enemies than friends. Even in the assembly of people of like precious faith or family, the Devil easily succeed with his strategy of division, based on attraction to unnecessary competition for superiority. No matter the complexity in the deceptive plan, all contentions for superiority involves showcase of physical or material wealth, rather than the expected thirst for spiritual mountaineering. The Psalmist presents the competition for the knowledge of God as the only holy and godly competition for superiority. Wise people are found difficult to buy the deception for a sellout into the game of physical superiority at the expense of spiritual superiority.

Prevailing Precepts

'I will never forget Your precepts, For by them You have given me life.' Psalms 119:93 NKJV The validity of the endless settlement of God's word in heaven is easily proven by the endurance of His utterances in the establishment of the earth and all the fullness thereof. Irrespective of the catastrophic events and evolution of natural disasters, the beauty of creation and its unfading elegance can be seen through the combination of earth's formation and architectural display of human intelligence. Unfortunately, the heart of man easily fade to keep the precepts of God and his promises for an endless beauty in heaven. Just as God's words for the earth's establishment is settled, His declaration of the earth's dissolution is also settled. Only the prevailing precepts of God give the life that qualifies for heaven that never ends with this passing world.

Redemption Riches

http://bible.us/psa119.88.nkjv Revive me according to Your lovingkindness, So that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth. Until the corruption due to the fall of man, the testimony of God for all the works of His hands is ' they are good '. Man was good is in all expressions and manifestations as the image of God; that is, man was a reflection of the love, kindness and holiness of God. Despite the perfect redemption plan of God, the riches of grace requires consistent refreshment by the Spirit of God. Man is often deceived by the riches of this world's polluted sophistication and social influence. Like the Psalmist cried, everyone needs God's revival to be awaken unto righteousness. Evidently, the grace of God is sufficient to clean the filthy heart of man and keep him clean. Only the redemption riches can sustain the testimony of God concerning the work of His hands.

Learning Lane

http://bible.us/psa119.71.nkjv It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statutes. Speed bumpers always appear serious distractions to travellers on life's highway, especially when the highway suddenly lead to cities with interconnection of activities that need the attention of way-faring travellers. Likewise, life moves often faster than the attention of anyone can easily catch, without intermittent pull-over to the learning lane. While it is strange for anyone to smile for taking a speed ticket, everyone always learn how to improve on safe-driving skills with correction on traffic offence. Even when we did not understand the basis for some setbacks in life, those who know their God can rightly say like the Psalmist ' It is good for me that I have been afflicted '. All setbacks represent disguised setup for the fulfillment of God's purpose for a divine pull-over to the learning lane.

Intelligent Influence

http://bible.us/psa119.50.nkjv This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your word has given me life. Whenever anyone lose the ‎grip of his operating environment, he becomes susceptible to the mercy of his dominating environment. Unfortunately, there are disappointing fear and afflictions when situations in life, especially in family, career and health, are thrown outside anyone's personal control. Comfort in material support in times of afflictions appears to provide a great relief; it cannot be a sustainable relief from future challenges. There is a greater comfort in an absolute confidence in the word of God, even when an end to life's challenges appear out of sight. Nothing more appears a gain of life's intelligence than the loss of influence by life's challenges.
