Worthless Way

http://bible.us/psa119.37.nkjv Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things, And revive me in Your way. In line with the natural law of motion, consistent focus on the wonderful works, way and will of God will maintain a perpetual course unless strategic distractions are encouraged. Every affair and engagement in life either add or remove from the worth of human life and godliness. Unfortunately, many are helpless when faced with the temptation to buy into the ' it doesn't matter ' exposure into pornographic pictures, scenes, and movies. Once bitten by unguarded looks, king David understands the importance of seeking the help of God in order to maintain focus on the path of righteousness. Whenever passion for the things of God is reducing, affection for worthless things is probably introducing.

Wonderful Works

http://bible.us/psa119.27.nkjv Make me understand the way of Your precepts; So shall I meditate on Your wonderful works. The profitability of God's word is not in the hearing of the precepts, but in the doing of the word. Hearers have the word in the head and can even be proficient in the dissemination of the commandment, precepts by precepts. ‎However, the additional commitment of applying the truth to the practical works of life, like the relationship with work, in the family, and unto church people, may be impossible. Like the Psalmist' s plead for grace, a humble cry for grace to see the way of God's precepts in one's personal interactions is important. The revelation of the wonderful works of God in every personal endeavour is open to those whose hearts are open to His precepts.

Winning Way

http://bible.us/psa119.9.nkjv How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word. The way of every man is often open with many options, leaving anyone with the challenge of choosing the best path or the right sequence of paths. There are compendium of earthly resources for effective management of the challenges of life, including family, marital, business, social, professional issues, etc. The only problem with earthly principles of success is that they are based on inconsistent breakthrough in a limited space of time. As time, events, and experiences of life change, earthly principles become inappropriate and mostly counter-productive. The Psalmist presents the immeasurable riches of God's word as the only dependable guide along life's weary way. Anyone with a sincere search for the principles of success is directed to always look along the precept of God's word.

Marvelous Mercy

http://bible.us/psa118.29.nkjv Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. The reward system of the world, whether in the workplace or training school, is based on merit. Otherwise, it would be ‎impossible to promote discipline and excellence. A reliable merit award program pride itself in its unbiased and merciless considerations of individual contributions. However, relationship with God is completely averse to merit. It is absolutely based on mercy. While diligence and discipline are encouraged in our relationship with the system of the world, God relates with His beloved on the basis of mercy. After all, all the possible righteous claims of man are entirely filthy before the Holy and Mighty God. The perfect will of heaven is stamped in the affairs of man when the marvelous mercy of God overrides the merciless merit system.

Trusted Truth

http://bible.us/psa117.2.nkjv For His merciful kindness is great toward us, And the truth of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! The reality of life poses a significant threat on the faith of many believers, especially at moment when hope for a change is deferred. Likewise, the truth according to available success stories on various issues of life has a way of drifting little faith away from the promises of God. Whereas, God's truth is not based on empirical evidences, but it is wholly anchored on His personality. Even against all hope, believers have got the greatness of the Lord's merciful kindness a sufficient reason for the offering of His praise. This truth continue to endure, even when the beneficiaries of the Lord's mercy cease to exist. Therefore, a trusted truth encourages praise on the basis of the Lord's unchanging character, rather than anchoring on the perceived dynamic of His charisma.

Sincere Service

http://bible.us/psa116.18.nkjv I will pay my vows to the Lord Now in the presence of all His people. The value of the gift in the hand is commensurate to the wealth of appreciation received for every deed of kindness to people. As long as deeds are offered to meet human physical and material needs, no one is concerned about the purity and sincerity of the vessel used for the service.‎ However, the vessel for the gift is more important than the value of the gift in God's service. While man might consider the process of purifying the vessel before any service offering as suffering, God is rather concerned by the preparation of the heart for a holy and acceptable sacrifice. Saints of old, not only had their fair share of the period of trial; their wilderness experiences provided attractive and soul-lifting testimonies of righteous services before the people of God. Sincere service proceeds from a privileged and purified heart, especially when reserved and received by saints in the c...

Tainted Trust

http://bible.us/psa115.8.nkjv Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them. Creativity thrives in the application of earthly resources and acquired knowledge for the development of new material and innovation. Being designed for the purpose of improved standard of living, many do not only enjoy the benefits of creativity, but are moved to repose their trust in the work of other man's hands. God is the Creator of every creature, including all people and their creativity. The material and virtual things of the world, including ‎position, property, and prosperity are designed to be used by people. Needless to say that people are not expected to be used by the work of their creativity. Unfortunately, and in agreement with the observation of the Psalmist, the elevators of the works of creativity to a worship status have developed tainted hearts with blinded reasoning. Obviously, both those who promote the worship of people or possessions, and those who devote t...
