Holy Discontentment

http://bible.us/psa36.11.nkjv Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away. The unregenerated are outrightly severed from fellowship with God because of their entanglement with sin. However, fellowship is restored with God after His grace bring salvation to the soul. Therefore, intimate relationship with the Creator of heaven and earth is the evidence of new birth. Unfortunately, affection for the things of the life can introduce distraction from regular fellowship. After David assessed the thin line between intimate relationship with God and a subtle romance with the world, he was apt to cry for grace. The foot that suddenly drags to the presence of God is taken to be drifting as the foot of pride. While weariness to the call to offer services to the Lord is admitted as sign of wicked and unprofitable engagement of the hands against the service of its Maker. Holy discontentment for righteousness and intimate fellowship with God is prefer...

Aligned Heart

http://bible.us/psa35.13.nkjv But as for me, when they were sick, My clothing was sackcloth; I humbled myself with fasting; And my prayer would return to my own heart. ‎ The value of a regular wheel alignment is not significant to road users who travel only on smooth and perfectly maintained roads. Whereas, the heart of wheelers on bad and ill-maintained roads are often not spared the ache of wheel misalignment. Irrespective of the damages of rough roads, the heart of a good and stable wheeler stay aligned in order to take good care of his misaligned automobile. After all, automobiles that are licensed to ply on bad and ill-maintained roads have little option until alternative roads are provided. Life's journey on this evil and wicked world is like travelling on bad and ill-maintained road. While sinners' ill-responses to the evil around them are not strange, the redeemed and regenerated heart is called to always be good and stable. This is the basis of David's act of con...

Fear Therapy

http://bible.us/psa34.9.nkjv Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. When the scripture says fear brings torment, the fear of the enemy or an assumed fiend is actually being referenced. David was overwhelmed by this slavish kind of fear when he suddenly found himself in the territory of the Philistines‎. But then, he remembered that even when he earlier stood before their champion, Goliath, he was not enslaved by fear; because he stood in the strength of the Lord. Whenever the Righteous remember that all the threats of the enemy amount to nothing before the Lord, it becomes easier to admit that the fear of God is the best therapy against slavish fear. Basically, the fear of the Lord delivers the Righteous from all arrows of the wicked.

Enduring Hope

http://bible.us/psa33.18.nkjv Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy. Faith in the Lord will be desirable, if following Jesus guarantees automatic cessation of the storms in the affairs of life. Therefore, a magical appearance of good fortune in life will definitely attract the attention of a multitude of people. Unfortunately, this bread and butter exodus of Disciples has been found to be unreliable in the inevitable absence of stomach infrastructure. Real connection with heaven is often secured through an enduring hope in the Lord's mercy.‎ The eye of the Lord remains the guide for those whose hope in His judgment endures every tough going.

Divine Guidance

http://bible.us/psa32.8.nkjv I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. ‎ The most important blessing of parenting over an obedient child is the privilege of daily guidance. The training of the child in the right way becomes the sole responsibility of his parents. Likewise, those who are redeemed from the slavery of sin are translated from the realm of darkness into the light of Christ the Redeemer. Having ever felt the frustration of self-guidance, they understand that divine guidance is the best thing that ever happened to any man. Divine guidance remains one of the mysteries of the redemption story, where the Creator of heaven and earth is turned the creatures' daily escort.

Strong Fortress

http://bible.us/psa31.14.nkjv But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord; I say, “You are my God.” Those who behold the reckless manipulation of ' smart ' people, through slander, back-bitting and all forms of evil speaking, are easily tempted to put their trust in self-manipulation. Instead of buying the distractions through outward display of recklessness, the Psalmist could see the inward fear of insecurity within the ' smart ' folks, camouflaged with all forms of unrighteous manipulations. When the scripture says that the Righteous are as bold as a lion, the boldness is based on their trust in a strong Fortress, outside self. Sincerely, trust in human ability and capabilities is hollow, requiring a stressful proof of strength through reckless manipulation. Whereas, absolute trust in the Lord as a strong Fortress brings an unperturbed peace of mind.

Grave Experience

http://bible.us/psa30.3.nkjv O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Joy in the morning is not full and free without a moment of weeping in the night. As evident from the Psalmist's dedication ceremony after the completion of the king's palace, no celebration is sweet‎ without a clear record of wilderness experience. Grave experiences kill dreams and aspirations for breakthrough in life, while man remains as walking corpse passing through life without purpose. David was kept alive, even after prophesying his personal defeat and death by the enemy, in one of his moments of grave. Although the the enemy's concept of grave is a transition to the pit, the Lord's concept of grave is actually a transition to the palace.
